Came up on my mobile as a call from Newcastle NSW, landline (02) 4948 7288. Indian accent (can’t remember name probably not correct anyway) said he was from security DEpt from Commonwealth Bank, reporting some disputed transaction on my account at 10 something this morning (I do NOT have a commonwealth Bank acct) when I asked him who he was after, he ignored me maybe once or twice, I asked again in a slow, loud clear voice, “who are you wanting to talk to” & he hung up !!!! I tried ringing the number back and got a message that the mobile number I had dialed had been disconnected (I didn’t dial a mobile number) I wish our phone companies would sort out the programming so these scammers can not hijack and misrepresent the phone numbers. Very frustrating, waste so much time getting these calls.
