Rang and no one spoke when I answered. Been ringing every couple of days. Definitely a nuisance caller.

Caller: ScammersPicked it like a dirty nose.. totally unknown number - and while it was still ringing, I googled the number and found this page..

Scammers operating as a SMSF. Just block their number.

Scammers - idiots do not realise if they have a voicemail, cannot get gender correct when leaving a message. Struggling to understand how our Telcos cannot block these numbers .. do they ever look at sites like these and get busy? I suspect not.

Caller: super fund scamkept ringing daily , I ring back and it says number does not exist, gave the nice gent a English lesson he will never forget.

Called several times. I don't reply or answer............... just a bloody nuisance

by Anonymous on 2020-06-03

Answered their call but immediately discounted. If they were legitimate it would be unlikely the call would be disconnected in such a way. Just plain annoying.

Total scam. Asian voice with limited english

Didnt recognise number so let it go to voicemail - and what a surprise, no message was left. They've tried me again today (first call was 2 days prior). Tried calling them back - "Optus advises the number you are calling has been disconnected". Why cant these companies be fined for hassling us individuals ? So sick of these calls.... :(

SMSF wanted to look at my super for me for free and see if they could improve it for me . Yeah right my own super company does quite well for me ,why would I let anyone just look into my super. The caller was a male ,maybe from Sri Lanka ,Pakistan etc . Told him to go and f himself and F off before he hung up on me . How rude lol . Why are Telstra allowing this phone number to be active with so many scam complaints ? Bloody disgusting.

Caller: SMSFThe usual scam call. Asked for me by name and when I asked what they wanted I got some mumbled blurb about her being from smsf and superannuation. I gave her permission to go forth and multiply and hung up. Blocked the number. It begs the question as to why numbers identified as originating from Sydney are made available to crooks for the purpose of fraud

Same experience as others have reported. No one there when I answered. Time Wasters on robocall I presume.

Of course Telco's won't stop these callers when they're getting paid for the porting use of these numbers.

Called me multiple times over last couple of days, when I called back the first time had a Telstra voice message saying the number was not connected. Got a missed call while at work from same disconnected number. ? Ghost number from scammers

Caller: Smsf, that's what they call themselves Scam call, asked them where they got my number from, said i workshop talk with them until they advised me of that, they then hung up. Have blocked them.

Call drops out as soon as I answer

by Anonymous on 2020-05-29

Call went to voicemail, but message has only silence. Probably a call centre with dial-ahead - the automated system calls a number, and if it detects a voice signal, allocates the call to an operator. But if no operator is free to take the call right then, there is silence and the system hangs up.
