by Anonymous on 2021-01-17I was right by my landline phone when this number called. I answered it straight away, and the caller immediately hung up. Call centres calling random numbers predictively on an expectation that an operator will be available when the call is answered, and then dumping the call when no operator is available at that moment, is the height of rudeness. Do you think I'm just a "product" here for your convenience? It is also rude to expect me to instantly drop whatever I was doing, and provide instantly and for free something that is of commercial value to the business, when everybody else in the business is paid for their contribution. Number blocked on both my landline and mobile.

I finally answered it today and as soon as I heard 'Nielsen' I said 'No thanks, have a nice day". The guy called back immediately and asked me how I could not be interested if I hadn't heard what he has to say. Abuse ensued. SPAM

I see no reason why, without suitable payment, I should donate my services to what is probably a market research company. If everyone felt the way I feel - the market research companies would collapse. Thanks for posting.

Was hard pushed when asked what the survey was for and how it would be used. Got very upset when I declined to indicate ages, where born and began to talk over me. I then informed her the call was going to be terminated.

Just like any other market research agency if you wish not to be contacted you just say "take me off your list" otherwise they have the right to call you
