Caller: Strong Indian accentCalled daily for the last few weeks, when I challenged that it was a scam he got quite insistent with me that it was legitimate. Claimed to have contacted us via our computer. When I suggested we only have iPads he hung up.
by Anonymous on 2018-06-20Caller: Claimed to be TelstraCaller-Strong Indian accent Claimed our internet was being hacked. Got very aggressive in his tone when I said I would go to my local relates shop in the morning and get them to fix it. I got his number and name. David Williams. I asked to speak to his manager and I heard another person in the background say (also in a strong Indian accent) "What are you doing!? Quickly hang up!" Total scam!!
by Anonymous on 2018-08-23They have called me several times in a couple of days in order to 'fix' hacking of my internet - claiming to be Telstra but an obvious scam as Telstra would never provide this level of service or attention. Used the name 'Ron Williams' and said I could call back but it would take hours to get him if I tried so best to follow his instructions right now!
by Anonymous on 2019-01-09Caller: a 'David Williams' from the NBNsimilar story line as the ones above. a strong Indian accent but it was David Williams. come on mate, I know I was born at night but I wasn't born last night!!! SCAM!!!!!
by Anonymous on 2021-06-02He claimed to be from Telstra and that there was some problem with my internet connection but he did not have my name or the correct address. When I asked for his name and contact number he said (in his strong Indian accent) David Williams and gave this number as his Telstra contact number. Clearly it isn't. The number belongs to M. Daniels in Surrey Hills, not Telstra in Melbourne.
by Anonymous on 2018-03-07Caller: (03) 9836 5436This morning I answered my home phone to a recorded message saying my internet would be disconnected in 12 hours & to press #1. I hung up. This afternoon got a call from a woman with strong Indian accent saying from Telstra to talk about my internet, when I said we're not with Telstra & hung up. I got an immediate call back from a guy who said he was Telstra supervisor David Williams, I asked for his number - which he gave as this. I googled it & came to this site.
