called from telstra and want to discuss my Optus email ???????????

Caller: Someone from TelstraSaid my internet was being used illegally then asked me questions about my keyboard??

They said they were from Telstra and that they had identified malicious activity on my internet.

Caller: Scam “Telstra”The woman said there was issues with my internet, other people were using it and it looks like it’s been hacked etc. but she was going to help me fix it, as I’m not with Telstra I knew it was a scam, I strung her along for a bit then asked why MY internet provider hadn’t called me about it, she then repeated she was from Telstra then hung up when I said I wasn’t with them. I worry for people that would fall for this scam, I’m assuming if I had followed her instructions she would have got me to upload some sort of spyware

Caller: 100% ScamA guy with Indian accent called and "said they are from Telstra and some one is using your internet" I asked full name and he hung up.

Yes tried to get into my computer by saying that they were from Telstra and that I had someone else using my data asked three times where they were from third time hung up. SCUMS SCAMMERS BE AWARE

Caller: ‭0400 813 468‬Said (in an Indian accent) that they’re from Telstra. They said that I had a internet problem and wanted me to give them control of my computer. I hung up.

Caller: some indian maleexplained to me there was some ilegal activities on internet account when i pressed for more info they hung up

Called and I let it go straight to voicemail. No message was left. Returned call immediately and received a pre-recorded message that the device is switched off or not in mobile designated area. Call back again after about 3min and just kept on getting "Call Failed" on my phone. More than likely telemarketers.

absolute scam.. started off with ...from telstra about illegal access on my internet ... they are very good at what they do...red flag... just got way to pushy , wont answer if you call him line is always busy....says he is from cyber security... R/sole

Called, claimed she was from Telstra, and I'm not a Telstra customer, advising there was some illegal activity on my internet and wanted access to my computer. I want to see how far she will go. Once I said I was not a Telstra customer she said she was calling from Optus. I then said I was not an Optus customer too and she hung up. Scammer, she didn't know how to recover from her lie
