where do they get your number from. drives me mental. they will never ever get my business.

Called me a few times this month but I did not answer. It reached to voicemail once and someone said Can I speak to xxx(my name), waited a few seconds and then said Hello as voicemail does not reply. It seems It was called by a machine and when it connected(voicemail considered as connected) then someone picked up the call and tried to start a conversation. My number is on DNC so it must be a scam call if it's related to CommSec. TBH, CommSec does not give out personal details. Do not answer and do not verify your name. They are validating your information and giving them to some more severe crimes. Do not say anything when you pickup calls you dont know, let them speak first. Your voice is your identity, checkout how phone banking works. AI tech these days can learn how you talk and that is how crazy it is.

I answered the call then after no one spoke and then hung up. I tried to call back but line was dead.

Asked for me by name, I asked him (asian male?) who's calling, twice, wouldn't answer, told him to f#%k off, he hung up lol. Number now blocked...Rang back, number not connected, I love it when they use a number I can block.

Cold call - financial Mentioned that they got my details from Commsec

This guy called saying he was from a health company. He asked if I still had my current private health account I said yes and he said it’s a bad line I will have to hang up. I asked why was he calling about my health fund he replied with “ just about seeing the different plans, but I’ll call back another time and hung up. What has come of anyone else who has said “yes “ have they noticed or received anything?

Very strange...I answered the call- was asked if it was(name) and when I said, "yes", he hung up immediately. I called back and the number was disconnected.

22 July 2020 - just received a missed call. When I tried to call back, the message said "Optus advises that the number you have dialled has been disconnected."
