Caller: ScammersSCAM - On 21/09/2020 at 1:20pm I received an automatic recording from this number 0428 718 128) saying the following in an Australian accent: "Attention: This call is from the legal department from Services Australia. Your tax identification number has been suspended and we have filed a case under your name, so before this matter goes to federal claim courthouse for you to get arrested, kindly press 1. I repeat press 1 to know about your legal case. Thank you." [hang up] Whatever you do, do not press 1. It will then likely connect you to some scam operation overseas, they will try to convince you that you have a tax debt, threaten you with arrest, and then give you a 'one-off, one-time option to pay a lump sum amount' to have your account remedied. Just hang up and block the number. I have already reported this number to their phone provider and scamwatch.gov.au.
