Pushy, wanted to ID me immediately, very rude, when l questioned her why she wanted ID when she called me, she hung up immediately if it is Foxtel, they really need to work on their cold callers, aggressive, impolite, will not answer this number ever again. a bad experiece all round.

Time wasters.. Demanding to speak to someone who doesn't exist at our mobile no. Clearly they should find a real job instead of harrassing people saying they are allegedly from Foxtel. Blocked their 0438 832 846 mob no. Reported them to Foxtel, ACCC - Scam Watch & Do Not Call Register.

Very pushy, kept talking over top of me, very insistent on taking payment, I hung up on him. Then same number 0438 832 846 rang back 3 x hours later, I did not answer call and have instantly blocked this number from my phone.

by Anonymous on 2020-10-20Caller said that they were from Foxtel and was chasing an overdue account when the account was already paid. He had a heavy accent and wanted my name and DOB address etc for confirmation that they were speaking to the correct person. I said you called me so you should have all those details. He said go to your television and I will send a code through your screen so I hung up. Before hanging up I also questioned why they were calling from a mobile number as I think that this is most unusual.

They said the "This conversation is being recorded for coaching and quality service" thing that foxtel usually say.. said he was from Foxtel and that I need to confirm my first and last name. I said why are you ringing from a mobile number.. I'm not confirming my name to you.. He told me to google the mobile number and it will come up as a FOXTEL number.. SCAM!

I work in finance collections and when we have overdue accounts that wont answer silent numbers, we use mobile numbers to try and get our customers to answer in order to collect money owed. All these people saying "they tried to ID me, must be a scam" need to settle down. And anyone who says they don't have Foxtel are either A) lying or B) Foxtel's customer has given them a false mobile number in order to avoid them. I got this call, I answered, and then I simply told them I'd call Foxtel back on a number I'm more confident of. And what do you know, I'd missed a payment and they confirmed it was them trying to call me on this mobile number. They would have overseas call centres managing their arrears/collections. Ya'll need to calm the hell down, not every call you don't recognise is a scam Karen.

Suddenly said apologies can see you have spoken to us a few weeks ago and all is resolved. Haven't spoken to anyone. They hung up. Block don't take these calls. Scammers.
