I had several missed calls from this number by my caller ID log. When I finally did answer, a women with Indian or Pakistani accent said I had been involved in an accident within the last 3 years??? I said if you wish to continue with this call I will report you to the authorities - then she hung up. Funny about that. Definitely a scam.

This number rung my office phone and when I answered they, hung up. I rang the number back at it then tells me the number has been disconnected???

What a waste of time - scammers - JUST HANG UP ! accident compensation? Yeah right!

This number has been calling me constantly over the last few weeks. I tell them I cant understand them so they speak slowly for a while. Today I understood and told them it was a well known scam so he told me to go to hel and hung up.I then received a call from (02) 8882 9710 with the same story about someone from number had been involved in a car accident in the last three years. I hung up on him.

I just received one of these calls as above comments ,,, while I was on the phone though my internet cut out and as soon as they hung up my internet was fine. Not sure if it was coincidence or not .

I've had a couple of call from this number, but have not answered. I have rung back but the automated voice tells me the number is not connected. It is very interesting as I have received a few calls from another number that is NSW based, with the same results. I am going to report these numbers to the ombudsman as they have only starting to occur since I contacted my Bank about some issues. If any one else believes they have a link, like me. Please advise

wow, its like de ja vu.. a little bit of india saying they are the Australian Accident Compensation Department. I just said real people dont have time for fake and hung up. If he really wants to be annoying i guess people will continue to treat him that way.. karma works like that with a shove!

Same as all others. They've rang several times and then hang up. If I don't answer it is just silence until something is said then they hung up. If you ring them back the response is a telstra message saying it's disconnected.

Started to get this number calling when I did a search on compare the market for car insurance.

At 5.59 on 26/9 I had a call from this number. Silence when I first answered then a male with an Indian sounding accent claimed that he was calling from an Accident Compensation company and that he believed that a person from my address had had an accident recently. He disconnected when I told him this was bulls***..t. Called the number back but was told that my call could not be connected and that I should check the number and try again

I had a call from this number this morning at 8.30am. Someone listening on the other side but not answering. I said hello twice and then I hung up. Stay away.

Got a call today at 1.20pm from (quote exactly the same as someone else posted) a Male with an accent called from this number saying he was from the "Accident Compensation Fund" and that he had a report of someone on our number filing a claim. I got a scam call about insurance a couple of weeks ago, so I laughed when he said this, and said I'd report him, and thanks or giving me his number. He was saying something along the lines of "you think you'll get me as I said this. I hung up. I have now added this number as 'scammer' in my phone. Thank you to the person who suggested this. What really angers me is that my number is silent, and I am extremely careful with it. How are they getting silent numbers? As this is the second number within a month, I am seriously wondering if they're getting them from my Telco.

This number has been calling our office continually over the past few weeks. They claim their calling from "Compensation department" they ask if you have had a accident within the past three years. I played along with the call and they wanted to know my make of car and number plate details. When they realised I had made up a fake story then they hung up. When you call the number back it rings a few times then you are told its been disconnected.

I have had about 15 calls from this number in the past three days. When I answer they hang up.

Just had a call from this number, from a heavily accented chap claiming to be from the "accident compensation department", because they had heard someone had had a minor accident at this address. He hung up when I suggested that there is no accident compensation department in any Australian Government, Federal State or Local.... SCAM
