Caller: Telstra or pretending to be TelstraA woman with heavy accent calling from a noisy room full of people on other calls saying she is calling about my Telstra internet. I hung up as I'm not with Telstra.

I ignored this number...earlier in the day I had a call from a different number saying it was from Telstra and they were going to disconnect my Telstra internet the next day. I suspect this call would have been similar. On the earlier call, I said 'oh you must be a scammer, just let me start recording this call, I don't have Telstra internet but keep talking!' and they unsurprisingly hung up...

Caller: (08) 6186 7562A man with a foreign Indian type accent from NBN rang and said my internet was being disconnected later today. I said thats ok. He seemed flustered and said my NBN service needs a software update. I said "don't bother, disconnect it later today. Goodbye". I think he actually hung up before I did.

Same issue with others posting except this person knew my name. All other factors were red flags including calling form random number, heavy accent, poor phone quality and significant background noise. I felt this was a bit off and asked to call them back which he said was not possible. This response told me the call was some type of scam.
