Received a number of attempts to call me but I have learnt ignore and check on here so I get an idea who it is and what tricks and scams they operate. Agree regulators asleep at the wheel on these types of callers.

Report them to Telstra and get the number blocked - I just did! (along with (02) 6172 8611 and (02) 4349 1985) I know they can change their numbers but now have a case file I can add numbers to. The more people who complain to Telstra the better. The Government really needs to step up in assisting Telcos get rid of these B............

Play these idiots for what they are. Entertain yourself by playing their game and watch them get upset, call you names and eventually get sick of you and hang up!!! Try it haha

This number is calling multiple times a day the past few days. Call back to find the number is "disconnected" - that's obviously a sham recording on its own as the number rings through first! Wish I had caller ID and blocking features on my phone.

Received a call from this number just now, claiming to be Telstra technicians and that I have a problem with my computer. Told him I don't have internet and not to call me back. Indian type accent and lots of call centre noise in the background. So annoying.

Barely intelligible thick accent, "Telstra" internet scam. Lots of voices in background. Went through the process of him trying to infiltrate my computer, but he couldn't even explain what he wanted me to do. Then put his supervisor called "Edward" on the line. Challenged that and asked what his real name was. After him wasting time for a few minutes, said I'd enjoyed the call and told him to "p off".

Note they call randomly - I am NOT with Telstra for anything but they still say they are from Telstra.

Multiple calls from this number - have mobility issues - calls are causing stress - who does one contact in Telstra to get this and another number stopped.

We have had calls from this number many times on our landline and our mobiles. We play along sometimes. I asked one of them where he was located and he had to check with someone first. After I laughed, he hung up on me :(

My wife and i have been receiving these types of calls for years now, If everyone on this site and i guess many more would lobby their local,state,and federal members of parliament we just may get the ball rolling on how to deal with this issue.

Very interested to learn that many people are also being annoyed at all hours by these idiots. The barely understandable Indian accent (and the background voices) is a dead giveaway that it is NOT Telstra technical department wanting to help with our internet connections. But how it is they know names and addresses and that you are a Telstra customer?? One would think that Telstra/Bigpond would be keen to stop this misrepresentation of their organisation.

This number starts calling as early as 7am and as late as 10pm. I am sick of getting calls from these people. We need to stop them!!!!!!!!!

Tell me why the bloody government can't stop these goons!....1. they are breaking the law..repeatedly, and 2. are easy to catch and prosecute. Scammers trying to gain access to your computer by claiming to be Telstra and that your computer is causing network problems.

Receiving several calls most days for weeks now which I ignore through caller ID, we are 08 and don't know anyone with 02 prefix plus they hang up most times when the answering machine cuts in or the line stays open & silent until the the machine cuts out. Last night they rang just before 9 p.m. and tonight at 9.41!!! I answered this time and very strongly told them to stop calling this number, to stop waking us, remove the number from their calling list or I'd report them. The asked for me by name before I cut them off with above.
