Caller: (02) 7201 8297Calling about my electrical service! When I mentioned I don’t have electricity service (it’s under my husband’s Name) she hung up on me. Definitely scammers.

by Anonymous on 2020-08-31Caller: Solar rebate abuse of privacyI have received more than forty calls from this Solar Rebate scam. I have asked them not to call repeatedly, I have asked to speak to the manager (they hang up on me at this point), I have said I am not interested. I registered a complaint with the Australian federal body that regulates this and put my number on the Australian Do Not Call register, and for a while (6 months) the calls stopped. However as of two weeks ago the phone calls have started again. I once again have had to stop answering my phone if it’s a number I don’t know. Occasionally I forget and pick up. The first thirty times they rang I was living in a rental flat (so a rebate in solar panels was impossible even if I was interested), but even telling them this didn’t stop the calls. These calls are an abuse and invasion of privacy, and have become harassment. Our government should be doing more to stop them.
by Anonymous on 2020-08-31Several calls a week for the last couple of months from this number and when I answer they hang up - when they do speak they have Indian accent and ask about what electricity company I’m with - they are rude and pushy and then hang up.
