Caller: Couldn’t understand the nameWanted to confirm my business name. Claimed to offer a rebate on electrical certificates submitted by my company. Told them I didn’t require their services.

by Anonymous on 2023-07-14Caller: REC TradersDude called me and said he was from REC Traders and he could help my business claim STCs for selling hot water cylinders. I told him that we only sell electric cylinders that aren't eligible for government incentives and he tried to tell me that those cylinders could absolutely be claimed. He told me that they are currently selling STCs for $39.50, and I asked him how much that number fluctuates. That's when he told me that he would need to get his senior... I hung up. I know this scam. They are telling me what they think I want to hear until I ask a question and they put me through to a "specialist" that will railroad me into accepting their deals. I checked the real REC Traders website after getting the call and the current STC price is $35.50. Further proof that these guys are scammers

They do not talk to me anymore as I have made it clear to stop calling. YET I still receive calls. Now they must just hang on the line and wait to try and keep their KPI's up so they don't get the sack.
