Caller: Community Awareness Magazine.Yes they are Suspect ! They called me twice in the last two weeks and claimed I agreed to advertise with them in February of this year. Demanding payment for two ads at $550 each. When I pointed out I didn't start this business till August of this year the woman just hung up. I searched and found they also are called Apex Advertising, Community Awareness Magazine Pty Ltd, Power Publications, Youth and Community News, Drug Education Guide, Childrens Health Forum, 1300 478 655, 075539452, JRT Agencies, Awareness Childrens Safety Handbook, Volunteer Rescue Newsletter etc

Caller: Jane - 0466 987 762said she was from the community awareness magazine in the gold cost chasing us for $500.... however it appears all she wanted was my date of birth... not sure what they're going to do with it. Phone number was 0466 987 762. Complete scam

Caller: Emma 0420 227 525Emma called regarding an ad we allegedly agreed to back in Nov 23 for Community Awareness Magazine. They use that tact because you won't recall straight away given the time lapsed. I told her I have no idea what she's talking about and she confidently said, oh yes, we discussed it backin November. I'm like nah, that's not right but here I am still talking to her. She tricked me into giving her my d.o.b. as a reference, although I wondered what my d.o.b had to do with anything. I'm too slow dammit!! I guess the only positive is that she didn't get any cc details although she tried. Can't wait to see how they'll use my info :( At least they don't have my private phone number or email address. People are despicable.

Caller: EmmaCommiunity magazine has been ringing me flat out saying I did and as which I didn’t the ad dosent even have my phone number on it or the right email sending me an invoice every 4 hours ringing me every day saying I owe money where do I go from here as cost me over 3500 with these ads cause the same lady has called me 4 times all for different magazines absolute joke

I have been called repeatedly by Community Awareness Magazine, National Crime Prevention, Emergency Rescue journal, Health & Safety etc etc. As with previous comments here, the story is always the same.."we called you in September last year and you agreed to advertise with us...your advertisement is already printed..". Unless they can quote a reference that you can identify, don't give them anything. I am sick of getting constantly harassed by these people and I will be taking it further to make sure they stop.

Caller: Child Support Magazine Woman from Child Support Magazine called to ask for the payment for my advertisement in their magazine - $820. previously I had agreed to SES and Police Magazine . Now I have had ( & paid ) the $ 720 for advertisement in the Emergency&Health Journal - which I also hadn't authorised , but though I must have ! Today 's call was for a payment for $ 820 which I had not agreed to - looking at the ad they have appropriated a photo and information from our website - I did not give this to them.The invoice says the ad will run for 12 months I have told her I will not being paying this and to take me off their call list . The number on this invoice ( Child Support Magazine and the Emergency & Health Journal is the same in QLD -1300 748 655

Just received an invoice to my work email for $460 for advertising in a youth magazine which we have never used. Total scam. This is the phone number on the invoice. Company name is Apex Advertising.

Caller: Someone from Children's Safety, Youth and Community NewsAfter initially agreeing to a one off advertisement in the Children's Youth & Community News (Apex Advertising) our business has since been charged for advertising we've not agreed to & haven't received any invoice for. Their phone diverts to voice mail & the address is a post box number on the Isle of Capri, Gold Coast, avoid!

Since then it was Ambulance and then they tried for Police and now they keep calling and I say I'm not interested and they took money from my card anyway. Caller: ANNA & EMMA Community Awareness Magazine.Called me and said I booked an Ad in Feb this year and emailed me an invoice for $550 I had no idea who they were and could not remember speaking to them at all! They called me twice in the last two weeks and claimed I agreed to advertise with them and saying it was definitely me they were speaking with because they remembered my name, they asked for correct spelling of my last name and for my DOB and before my brain caught up a gave it to them. Following that call I received an invoice via email and the second I opened it they called requesting a card payment. I stated I did not agree and that our business was closing in a months' time to which they responded the magazine was already printed so it have to be paid but they could give me a discount. I found this thread and replied to their email with the link and politely stating I would not be defrauded and further contact from them would result in police action, and I have not heard from them since. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOUR GIVE ANY INFORMATION AND WHATEVER YOU DO NEVER GIVE THEM CARD DETAILS!

Phone number is on paperwork for Awareness of Children's Safety and Youth and Community News both with different PO Boxes and Ascot Publishing is noted on the paperwork. These are scams. They all call saying you agreed to advertising in their magazine, state you gave them a password and your credit card details. Pay today and you get the discount.

Work for an accounts payable company - a number of clients have received invoices from Apex Accounting saying they advertised in the Youth and Community News 2019 magazine - they did not. Invoices all for $460, Isle of Capri with this the listed phone number.

I have had 2 payments taken from my business bank account from these fraudsters, totalling $840, now having to change my account, they say they are community magazines and i have advertised with them when i have not, they take a legitimate ad from another publication and pass it off as an approved advert from you These people are criminals

Our school received and invoice for $460 for advertising in the Youth and Community News (Apex Advertising), we did not. The number provided on the invoice has a voicemail message saying it's a private number and to leave a message.
