by Anonymous on 2021-09-01Caller: Energy companyCalled our business saying they were an energy company and wanted to speak with the person who handles our electricity or the owner. When informed that they weren't in today, the scammer asked when would be the best tome to contact. I said it would be best via email. They proceeded to note down the email address, nothing further was said. This is obviously a scam, because each time I would answer their question, they answer with "Okay, no worries" and then continue speaking as if reading from a script.

Then I said I don't have time but caller was very persistent wanting to know when to call back. He eventually said that they are offering financial support for energy bills. *ALARM* I told him to not call me again and asked where they got my number from. He said from their system (great.) I told him to remove me from their call list.
