by Anonymous on 2024-08-23Caller: Scammers: (02) 8319 2836Scam. They claim that someone has attempted to make some sort of online transaction with your bank account. A choice is given between approving the "transaction", or pressing "2" on your phone to cancel it. Don't answer. When you call back, you are greeted by a foreign introduction message (some woman who speaks Chinese), and put on hold. She says, "Your call will be transferred to the next available customer service representative. Your call is important to us." No mention of who they are, why they were trying to call, and why all of a sudden all their communications are in Chinese.
