by Anonymous on 2022-02-21Caller: Someone with a thick non-Australian accentCalled to discuss my domain name and told me I was wrong, it’s not active bla bla. I said I wasn’t interested, I have a website and a business to run and am sick of being inundated with calls from fake ‘web designers or fake hosting companies’ and that when I need hosting, I will reach out to someone with a legitimate business. Then she proceeded to tell me my website is old and dated, I told her that insulting my website will not get her a customer. She asked me what I pay for hosting, I declined to answer and said no more times in 5 minutes than I could count. In the end I explained what consent is and the definition of the word NO. These ppl are time wasters with no reputable business behind them. Just randoms likely sitting in their homes in a south East Asian country paid pittance to scam people all day long. Unfortunately my number is used for business so I have to answer these Australian numbers they’ve hijacked. Of course it was immediately followed up by anktger fake call from a new number within seconds.
