It is a group of Indian men claiming to be from Microsoft or Windows reporting supposed viruses on your computer.Microsoft DO NOT call customers in regards to viruses or anything like that on your computers. These men will direct you to this website (www.ammyy.com) where they are able to gain access to your computer via the internet. So do not go to that link, as it lets them take control of your computers and they will steal extremely confidential and vital information, bank details and passwords, and can even possibly steal your identity. They are very persistent, and insist they are not scammers, but please do not believe and fall victim to these men - no matter how insistent they are!The best thing to do if you get a call from "Microsoft", is to hang up straight away.
by Anonymous on 1970-01-01There is something 'Strange' about these particular callers. They rang me and said they were Microsoft Specials. Yes their accent's were (a) One Indian Female and (b) her said supervisor - a Male.1st they told me to type in then Run 'TEAMVIEWER'. that failed to give them access to my PC, so next they suggested AMMYY.COM.......that gave them access alright, and I watched as Multiple Files were being Transferred. Where to I still don't know. Am I stupid for allowing such access ??? Probabably YES, but everything they did is now on Film.2nd; They gave me a false IP number - 86.178......... and yep, I gave them my supposed Date of Birth plus my Email name etc. They eventually hung -up , but not before giving me a set of three number plus a socalled Password (Four letter). I dialled the telephone number they had given me and spoke to the said Male Supervisor who had gained access etc. Asked him to forward details ref; MALAWARE via the email address i had given him. NO REPLY and Still Waiting. Today I phoned the Real McKoy, Namely MICROSOFT....... They thankfully returned immediate Support. Asked for Access to my PC, gave such a full check - out and took the details plus phone number used by the previous pretenders. IF This now helps to get rid of such Marauders, then so be it. Oh and by the way have also given Full Details to the Company who give me BroadBand. They in turn returned several fresh addresses in which to forward copies of Full Emai Full Headers that such Lousy Phishing mobs use plus,plus.plus. The Fight has started so lets stick together and take pride when the argument ends.Josoap
by Anonymous on 1970-01-01Yup. They tried to bag and tag me too. Good think I sensed the wrongness in the call. They left a number to ring back, this one. I rang and the woman had a preamble about my problem without asking me who I was or what the problem was. When she directed me to ammy site I figured it out. Said I'd call back because my computer crashed - ha ha ha. The woman got annoyed. Don't believe this hype.

by Anonymous on 2011-08-17Received call from 'Alex' 18th Aug 2011 at 13:00hrs. Phone number was restricted, however provided me with (03) 9010 5652 when asked for his number caller stated he was from Microsoft Technical Support and purpose of his call was to advise me that my computer is infected with virus and he could assist me to remove it from my computer via remote access... I then advised 'Alex' that it was his lucky day, so lucky intact that he had telephoned a Australia Wide Private Investigation Agency and so happened to be speaking with the Managing Director of company.! For some unknown reason 'Alex' hung up the phone.. I phoned (03) 9010 5652 as he had stated this was his contact number, however was told no one called 'Alex' worked there, again I was hung up on..! Very rude of them I thought, guess when I call past the address that (03) 9010 5652 is registered to on my way to work tomorrow morning they will be able to explain Everything to me about just how they can help me remove such virus...
