same as above about Internet being cut off. Told them we would have our office manager call them back and they hung up. Scam!!

Same as above - said Telstra turning off internet and they could help fix spam problems. I asked for the number and they hung up when I said that was not a telstra number.

Mobile rang from this number which I did not answer. Then I rang back as usually dodgy numbers record as disconnected. Man with an accent said it was the Taxation Department. I quizzed he was calling from Melbourne. Asked him to speak slower so that I could understand him. The conversation got muddled but it ended up with him saying "I'll see you in the Court House tomorrow" To which I said that was a very strange comment. I said 'goodbye' he repeated "I'll see you in the Court House tomorrow"

Called my mobile. I called back. Person refused to give name. Claimed they were from the ATO and a warrant had been issued for the recipient's arrest.

Was apparently the ATO and there is a warrant out for my arrest.

Saying ATO have shut down my Tax File Number and that a warrant is out for my arrest. Funny as and not funny all at once! Sounds like an autobot and tells you to press 1 to cancel the arrest warrant.

I rang this number back and they claimed that I was ringing the ATO, answered by a fella that had an Indian accent, he then asked for my full name, I then I mentioned that I think that it was a scam I was promptly hung up on. Investigation needs to be done with this mob... Grrrrr

Caller: Obvious scam from number searchThis number called but luckily it was not picked up. When we search the number, it was reported as scam. So, block it

Atomated voice saying it was tax office and my tax file number was suspended and I was under investigation

When I returned the call I got “the office of Kevin White from the ATO”. It sounded suspicious so I hung up. Thankfully I didn’t give them my name or details.

Caller: Spam I did not answer the call originally. When I rang back, said it was “Australian Taxation Office”

Missed the call originally, I called the number back and the Man asked if the caller left a message, I said "No", He then said "He was from the Australian Tax Office and can you please give me your full name and address. The line sounded really scratchy so I immediately hung up. SCAM ALERT

Just so everyone know if the ATO where to contact you directly the number is Anonymous. I work for an Accounting Firm and I know that for a fact. In addition, TFN is sensitive personal information, please do not give out.

I had 'Sandi' call from the 'technical department of Telstra Bigpond' telling me that my internet was going to be shutdown for two days. When I refused to turn on my computer so that he could show me what was wrong with it, he got angry and sounded like he abused me in another language. Then he hung up.
