by Anonymous on 2025-03-20Caller: scammer saying my bank account has been comprimsedWatch out, i was very stupid and could have lost a lot of money. He knew my name of bank, my email and obviously had my phone number. He rang saying that he was a bank and they had received what he thought was a scam money request. I was stupid, he was actually on a 'Paypal forgot password" page, and as he was talking to me, he said that he was sending me a link to confirm my ID and to quote the number he had sent. This was supposedly to verify I was who i was saying I am. I stupidly did and then that he started talking about real payments i had paid, which made him seem even more authentic. I then realized that he had sent me a "recover and reset password" link and that he was actually reading from my paypal. luckily i was able to contact my bank before any damage occured
