Caller: Fed ExI believe this to be legitimate. I was asked to provide invoice to an email with fedex.com domain for customs clearance. Upon investigation by putting my tracking number into the fedex website I can confirm that my package is indeed on hold awaiting these documents.

Caller: ScammerThis is an Unsolicited Nuisance Scammer who woke me up while I was sleeping just then. GO AWAY! I do not hand my phone number out to anyone at all and it is a private number. These damn scammers should not even have my number at all as it is not a public number. I have not sent a package to anyone and I am not awaiting any package from anywhere at all either. To even use a Melbourne number is extremely low. How dare you scammers use Melbourne numbers and defile my birth state in my birth country. I hate you vile scammers. To hell with you. Be gone.

Caller: UNSOLICITED NUISANCE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERNuisance Unsolicited Fraudulent Scammer falsely claiming to be FedEx. Woke me up to bother me while I was sleeping. Scammer demanded my personal details and payment to them over the phone. I have not ordered a package from anywhere at all and I am not waiting for a package at all so I have no idea why they are bothering to try and scam me nor why they even have my phone number when my phone is not a public number. I do not hand my phone number out to delivery services so they should not even have my phone number at all.

Caller: FedExThis is legitimate, my call was from this number and related directly to a shipment from the U.S which was a shipment from a company I've been receiving shipments from frequently in the past. I also received SMS message and it contained the consignment number I was expecting. Not sure why some of the comments on this page even suggest the caller must be "inside FedEx or intercepting FedEx delivery details" - they knew the details of your shipment because it is FedEx lol.

Caller: FedExQuite simply, nowhere on the FedEx site does it state the below. Customers need to be aware that this is a fraudulent request and that this e-mail attachment contains a virus. If you have received one of these fraudulent e-mails, do not open the attachment, but delete the email immediately.

Caller: FedExThis is legitimate and is proven by the fact that they told me they had sent me an SMS, which included an email address. When I emailed the address I was able to also check the validity of the email address using a technique called DMARC, a email security check. The email they sent me is guaranteed to be legitimate due to the fact that they have configured DMARC for their domain, hence, this proves beyond any doubt that the phone number is 100% legitimate. I have 30 years working in cyber security and so use DMARC checking often. You can head to mxtoolbox website and do the same. Feel free to contact me directly and I can prove this is a legitimate phone number from FedEx. darren_bennett @ icloud.com. LinkedIn.com/darren_bennett100

Caller: Fed ExLegitimate call, not a scam, STOP SAYING ITS A SCAM IF YOU DON'T KNOW!!

by Anonymous on 2024-11-28

Caller: Scammers pretending to be fed ex Scammer asked me to email to them a shipment invoice. I have proof that fedex already have the legitimate shipment invoice and there are no customs/duties required for the shipment. Scammers are stealing details off packages and trying to trick people into paying customs/duties that are not actually owed or required.

Caller: FedExThis is a legitimate number for FedEx. I purchased something from Europe and they were calling to get some more paperwork for Australian Customs.

It's a legit number from Fedex Customs support rep team. I received suspicious text messafe from Fedex-Exp with missed calls from this number asking for documents of content (I ordered something from official website and sender didn't include it) cus the item was stuck in customs. I got suspecious so I contacted fedex customer service 132610 (found in one of pdf file in fedex AU website) and they re-directed me to this team.

I had 2 texts and then a call from this number claiming to be Fed-Ex asking me to pay $237 on a small item from japan on ebay. They have my tracking number, ebay seller name and my phone number but something still seemed off. Glad i checked this thread, definitely a scammer!

Caller: FEDEXLEGIT CALL. FEDEX wanting to pay GST/DUTIES ON SHIPMENT

by Anonymous on 2024-04-29

Caller: ScanmerSorry but you got scammed. It is 100% a scam. I ignored all calls and texts, the same others received, and yet my package did arrive with no extra duties or taxes due.

Caller: FedExI've been using FedEx for years, and this is their number. I have a long list of SMS from them also along with calls from the (03) 7019 5541 number that someone else on here is also saying is a scam. Years of using FedEx - years of getting calls from this and the 7019 5541 number - definitely not a scam.

Caller: (03) 7019 5541Called me on a work number, and they had my name incorrect (completely different). The woman (maybe Philippines accent?) said it was Fedex and that they needed my email and details for a package clearance, or something like that. I spun her along for a while and then basically bluntly told her what I thought of scammers and she hung up on me. I have been getting almost daily calls since then, which I have ignored and they have not once left a voicemail, which if it was genuine then you would expect them to do so. I have tried ringing back (silent number or generic work number) and everytime it goes straight to busy tone. They are totally uncontactable in reverse. I actually answered their latest attempt today but said nothing, and they immediately hung up on me. I have now BLOCKED the number. So the fact that (1) I have nothing expected from Fedex, (2) they used my work number for an apparent (presumably) personal parcel, (3) they had a different, incorrect name for me, and (4) they were asking for personal details over the phone, all leads me to the very strong conclusion that this is a very determined, persistent SCAM call. Many of the comments in this thread defending them are actually quite questionable too, and might even be from the scammers trying to legitimise and further trick potential victims. These scammers are the lowest of the low, pathetic, dishonest 'people' and absolute bottom feeders. Be careful people...

Caller: Fedex ScamTried very hard to scam me. Even more of a coincidence is I had a package from Fedex at the exact same time as the call. Very good effort though.

Caller: (03) 7019 5541It is a scam. These f*ckheads are VERY clever. If they can know when your item(s) are about due, it’s not a hard stretch for them to have the correct tracking number, is it? Sure, the stuff you’re bringing in may require some extra attention, but these guys are asking for money to “clear” my item. When I go to the official FEDEX site and enter my tracking number, it mentions NOTHING about any extra payments for “clearance”. I wish I was as clever as these bastards; they probably make a tidy living off scamming people EVERY DAY.

Scam FedEx Very determined to try and convince you Connections with Symbio Networks Maybe a Scammer works there. Fedex do not ever solicit through text or weird looking emails ever! Direct from FedEx website: Customers need to be aware that this is a fraudulent request and that this e-mail attachment contains a virus. If you have received one of these fraudulent e-mails, do not open the attachment, but delete the email immediately. FedEx does not request payment or personal information in return for goods in transit or in FedEx custody via unsolicited mail or e-mail.

Caller: FEDEXLEGITIMATE call from FEDEX in Australia. It was their international customs clearance team. I have been working on a refund for duty that was paid twice accidentally. This was their team calling me to confirm the refund and check that I had received the email confirmation of the refund. NOT A SCAM - LEGITIMATE CALL FROM FEDEX

Caller: Fed-ExIronically, despite all the above comments saying this is a scam, it isn't. I've recently imported a large volume of a production enzyme that required an entry permit from the BICON site from Dept of Agriculture, Forests and Fisheries. My product came from the US from a reputable supplier who shipped their products using Fed-Ex. I too received what I suspected was a scam text from Fed-Ex, however it included a tracking ID which when I looked up was my item from the US. Being skeptical I called the support number listed on the Fed-Ex page (not the dodgy looking text) and was able to clarify the text and the money that was owed. It was completely above board and the breakdown of fees amounted to a small service fee, import duties and GST. The follow up text and call received today was asking for a manufacturers MSDS and statement of manufacturing. Now not saying that some of the instances listed above weren't scams, but in my case was totally legit. Just do your sense checking - I was expecting this.
