Caller: Travis AGL2 days ago ‘Travis from AGL ‘ called me also. I couldn’t talk and asked him to r call me back that afternoon. He has tried every day. I thought it was legit but seeing the above information iI believe I was about to be scammed.. He just called again

I blocked this number on my phone after seeing the information here. It now just comes as a missed call text. I will give them credit, though; they are persistent. I am getting up to 6 calls a day

Caller: "Raita" from "AGL"Female caller with African accent, claims to be born and bred in Lesotho but now working in "Southern Africa". asks for mobile number and then will ask for name and DOB (I didn't give them anything) so they can tell you what they're calling about. ??? Keep waffling on about how because caller ID says it's from AGL it's a legitimate call. I asked her for her mobile number, name, address and DOB but she said she doesn't know what I want that info for and she would not agree to giving it to me. then I said AHA! EXACTLY! that's why you're not getting mine and she hung up. fun call but don't get sucked in. they have an answer for everything. cheeky aholes.

Caller: Assumption its a ScammerI have blocked this number, but now I keep getting "missed call" text messages. These bastards just won't quit! I can't get the number permanently blocked by my provider either...these arseholes are just life destroying soul-sucking parasites on the arse of society...🤬🤬

Caller: AGL!!!I have been getting calls from this number since September 2024. I blocked and muted it but I still get a "missed call" message. I finally called it back and listened to the "AGL" your call will be recorded msg. There is no option to pick. number. I had a bloke with a thick accent say his name was Kevin wanting me to give details and I said nope, so he put me thru to the "Resolutions team" and then another bloke called Ali wanted details. I said I was going to hang up and call AGL directly and he said "But this is AGL, you have called AGL".. I phoned AGL's number 131245 and spoke to the complaints line, they could not see any issue with my account and due to the information I could give them, they have flagged it with the fraud team... Please be careful, do not answer this number nor call it back. It is a very clever setup and it would be easy to get caught out.

Caller: (03) 9649 4601They claimed to be with AGL, yet when I asked AGL they said they were not associated with. Kept asking me to confirm all my details, they should have all of this on my file; DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS.

Caller: Caller with Indian accent. Claimed to be from AGL.Called twice today. Wanted to confirm personal details. I said no...email me something. He said he cannot do that...must be done over the phone. I said I will not give him details over phone, he could be anyone. He said he was from AGL said my christian name and suburb I lived in. Told me I am entitled to Govt rebate grant. I said no I will not give him any details over the phone. Beware of this number appearing on your phone. IT IS A SCAM!!

Call claimed they were from AGL and referred to the Data protection Act that subsequently they didn't know the whole name of the customer. ie this is very fishy (Sus).

Caller: "AGL"Purporting to be AGLand saying I'm due for a Government Energy discount. They are getting smarter, by spoofing the company number to get around the phones identifying them as a spam call. They also only have a 1st name. When I ask them for my full name, 1st, middle, surname they go silent as they think of something to say. I tell them we have several people in the house with the same 1st name and I need to know who they are calling so I can pass the call. They again go silent, by this stage I just tell them to F off and hang up.

SCAM!! DO NOT PROVIDE ANY DETAILS TO THE CALLER!! Was called advising that I am eligible for $650 credit for gas, and $650 credit for electricity. See below the statement released by AGL: "We have recently received reports of scam callers pretending to be from AGL. They say they're from AGL. I don't know if they're legit. They are using a number not associated with AGL.

Caller: "Travis"Can 100% confirm the caller from this number is a scammer that will try to phish your information! A man named "Travis" called my father claiming they were from AGL and that they'd help him get his energy relief money. When I overheard him asking for my dad's pension expiry date alarm bells rang and after I grilled him for a few minutes he hung up on me. AGL customer service confirms no outbound calls were made to my father. This scam is listed on their "scam, fraud and phishing page". Hang up!
