I was really annoyed last year as they auto renewed it when I did not realise they had my authority to do that. Thats a big reason why I cancelled. And then they offer you big discounts. Shonky as.

When I asked how they had my number they went silent on the phone, they then said its on your account with your account details. *pause* I then straight away said no thankyou not interested because I know it isn't and that my profile is blank and he said I had connections.

Claimed to be "Ben" from MyHeritage, but began asking all sorts of personal questions that they should have known had they been from MH, all raising a LOT of red flags and motivating us to terminate the call. They called back moments later and we did not answer, ultimately blocking the number. Almost certainly a SCAM!

by Anonymous on 2023-09-24As I had just cancelled My Heritage subscription on Sun 11/3, as it is way too expensive being in US dollars, I got this call yesterday 12/3 and now that I have read al these comments I am glad I did not answer it. But I usually don't anyway sometimes I get calls from NT and Crtistmas Island and as I definately do not know or deal with anyone outside WA that has my personal mobile number I can sure its a scam. My Heritage must be desperate because when in the process of cancelling my membership a box popped up with a 60% reduction so it went from $249 which is what I paid las year only through a mistake and accidentally letting the membership autoload an expensive mistake that I am still kicking myself about, to $96 but it is still too expensive as you can build a tree but any time you want to confirm matches it goes to an upgrade screen... no thanks, useful as it has Photo dater but too expensive to continue. Thanks everyone for contributing to this site it really helps with unkown numbers.

She sent me a confirmation email with a link that took me to my account. I didn't like the hard sell but it wasn't a scam. I changed my MyHeritage password to make doubly sure. No, I didn't take up their discount offer.
