Caller: Maybe BUPA? They are using personal mobile numbers because many are working (bludging) since Covid!!!!!

Then mentioned I have a payment problem and like to talk to me but need to confirm my personal information, name , birthday. I don’t feel comfortable to give those those information then they send me a confirmation email though Donotreply @ bupa.com.au. I hesitated to give my home address when she asked and ask if this payment problem can be solved in store. She said yes, but it’s very important and need to be solve asap. I asked like now? She said no. I said then I’ll go to the store next Monday and solve it. Then I asked her to leave a note in my file about the call today. She said she needs to confirm my detail before she can access my account. It makes no sense since she is confirming so she should have authority to my system and leave message. I reckon it’s a scam.

by Anonymous on 2024-11-08Caller: Some foreigner A woman, strong foreign accent, after a long silence, said she was from Bupa. She asked for some details for proof of identity. Then went through many privacy etc. terms. I said I'd ring her back and she gave me the Bupa 134 135 customer service number. I gave up trying that because it was taking too long to get through all the menus and get to a human. Interesting to see the other comments here. I also left Bupa recently due to the high premium.

It’s not a scam for anyone writing in the comments it’s a scam.

Why on earth wouldn't they send a courtesy email first saying they'll reach out to me? I also find it in poor taste that they are asking for my details based on absolutely nothing trustworthy from their end. They should be providing a case number to me which I can confirm.

I refused to provide and then contact Bupa official number found out there was no enquiry about my paperwork from Bupa side. I think this number 0403 659 804 is a scam.
by Anonymous on 2023-06-22Called twice, while I am in work, and not allowed to answer personal calls... but they never leave a message... if it is Bupa why is it from a mobile, surely they would use a land line ? I am very unsure if it is actually Bupa because surely there staff would leave a message and a phone number to call you back on... After all the phone scams and the stealing of peoples details from other places... I think I will block this number, seems a bit suspicious... the fact no message is left...

Caller: Not sure - no message so who cares.Called 3 times - no messages, I have put this number on a block list. If it is BUPA this is terrible customer service and spam calling from a 'mobile' number. If it is actually Bupa they've just lost the right to call me as I will not receive calls from that number any longer.
