Scumbag, lowlife trash scammers claiming it is to do with problems with my NBN service! BEWARE!! Did not open link, or respond and have blocked these scumbags
by Anonymous on 2024-10-08Caller: Chinese scammer pretending to be from govtMy blocker app flagged this number as Potential Fraud and rejected the call. Female scammer ( * )hole left a message with options to select Chinese or English language, purported "there was an important message from the govt" in Engllish then repeated in a Chinese language (dunno which, but probably Cantonese or Mandarin). I've blocked, reported and deleted the number. There have been a lot of reports already about this number to Reverse Australia - I've also reported to Scamwatch, and blocked the number. I hope our Chinese Aussies take care and don't fall for these scum.

Got angry when he asked me if I knew how to check my IP address details and how to change them and I told him I did. Didn't like me very much when I told him he was a scam caller trying to prey on apparently vulnerable consumers. Reported and blocked

I believe their karma will come, but until such time it is time for governments to do more to protect people from this endless barrage of scam calls, to protect the vulnerable. It is time for the authorities in the countries where these operations are run out of to bring these people to justice.
